Nima Namchu and Nitin Berry, who worked at an advertising agency, called Rahul Dravid “The Wall”. We are talking about 1996-97. Nima Namchu and Nitin Berry were supposed to do a Reebook ad with the Indian team players. All players in the expansion had to be given a nickname. Which has a kick and matches that player’s style of play. Because of this, Rahul Dravid was nicknamed “The Wall“. He has won many awards in his cricket career. These include Arjuna Award, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan Award. In addition, he is the youngest recipient ever and the first sportsperson to receive the Bharat Ratna Award, India’s highest civilian honour.

2. Kapil Dev
He is a former Indian cricketer. He captained the Indian cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Named by Wisden as the Indian Cricketer of the Century in 2002, Kapil Dev is one of the greatest sportsmen of all time. He also coached the India national cricket team for 10 months between October 1999 and August 2000.

Nicknamed the Haryana Storm, he represents the Haryana cricket team in domestic cricket. He held the world record for most wickets in Test cricket in 1994, which was later broken by Courtney Walsh in 2000. At the time, he was also India’s highest wicket-taker in both the major forms of cricket, Tests and ODIs. He is the only player in cricket history to have taken more than 400 wickets (434 wickets) and scored more than 5,000 runs in Tests, making him one of the greatest all-rounders to have played the game. Kapil Dev was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame on 8 March 2010.
3. Rahul Dravid
Rahul Dravid (born 11 January 1973) is a former Indian cricketer and captain, widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in cricket history. Successful as a wall, Dravid was named one of the top five cricketers of the year by Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack in 2000 and received Player of the Year and Test Player of the Year honors at the inaugural ICC Awards ceremony in 2004. In December 2011, he became the first non-Australian cricketer to deliver the Bradman Oration in Canberra.

As of October 2012, Dravid is the fourth highest run-scorer in Test cricket behind Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Jacques Kallis, and only the second Indian cricketer after Tendulkar to score 10,000 runs in both Tests and ODIs. In 2004, after completing his century against Bangladesh in Chittagong, he became the first and only player to score centuries in all ten Test playing nations. As of October 2012, he holds the record for most catches by a player (non-wicketkeeper) in Test cricket with 210.
Rahul Dravid along with Glenn McGrath was presented with the seventh annual Bradman Award in Sydney on 1 November 2012. Dravid was also awarded the Padma Bhushan Award, India’s third highest civilian honour.
4.Sourav Ganguly
Sourav Chandidas Ganguly (born 8 July 1972), nicknamed Dada is a former Indian cricketer and captain of the Indian national team. Currently, he is a cricket commentator and the chairman of the editorial board at Wisden India.

He is regarded as one of the most successful Indian captains of modern times. He started his career playing for the state and school teams. Currently, he is the 5th highest run-getter in One Day Internationals (ODIs) behind Sachin Tendulkar and Inzamam–ul–Haq and the 3rd man in history to cross the 10,000-mark. In 2002, Wisden Cricketers‘ Almanack ranked him as the sixth greatest ODI batsman of all time, alongside Viv Richards, Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Dean Jones and Michael Bevan. Ganguly was awarded the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian honours, in 2004.

Scored a century in ODI style
Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 195 runs on just 184 balls, including 24 fours and 8 sixes. Ruturaj Gaikwad has scored his sixth century in his 27th first-class match. The 25-year-old has scored over 50 in four of his last five innings in domestic cricket, including two hundred.

This century was also very impressive as Ruturaj retired injured and left the field with a palm injury in the middle of the half.
But back on the court, he worked wonders and finished his century. However, he came close to a double century and only missed five rounds.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, 25, has played one ODI and 9 T20 Internationals so far. He made his T20 debut against Sri Lanka in 2021. He was last seen playing for Team India in the series against Ireland in Dublin.
